After an amazing week in the stock market, the "Trump Bump" post election gave one of the best trading weeks in the stock market this year!
You may or may not agree with who won the election, but equities sure did! And a lot of money changed hands this week!

- NASDAQ up over 5% on the week
- SMALL CAPS up over 8%!
- BITCOIN topped $76K
- FED CUT interest rates .25%
- XLF rallied on less regulation
- TSLA UP 28% this week
- NVDA up 9%
- UPST UP 67%!!!!
This list goes on and on...

Historically, a small number of days account for a significant portion of market gains. Studies have shown that missing just a handful of the best-performing days in the market each year can have a substantial impact on annual returns.
Here’s a commonly cited statistic:
If you miss the 10 best days in the S&P 500 each year, you could miss out on around 60-80% of potential gains over a 20-year period. Missing these key days reduces returns so significantly because many of the biggest daily gains often follow major downturns when investors are most likely to be cautious or on the sidelines. .
Often in life, people get stuck and suffer from what can be called the "Rocking Horse" syndrome.
We feel like we are moving forward, but in reality, we are going nowhere and missing out on the big opportunities in life.
It's ok. I used to feel like that..... A LOT.
I would wake up feeling that pit in my stomach and look at the stock market and say,
"Somebody is making a ton of money today.... why am I missing out?"
What am I missing?
What am I NOT doing?
I don't know what I don't know!
My inner dialogue would cloud my whole day!
Mark Cuban once said, "The stock market is not a football game. You don't have to get in on every play."
Just because the stock market is open does not mean you have to be in on every play.
But....
You do need to know when to get in the game and perform. (and know when to sit on the sidelines)
You need a system, a process, a set of rules, and the discipline to assess market volatility and determine if you or your money should be in the game.
Eventually, you must "pass the football" to your money and let your money earn the yardage instead of trading time for money.
When is your when?

It was not until I understood that market volatility was my friend that I began to learn the true rhythms and seasonality of the market and earn true time freedom.
Just like there are weather seasons of the year, there are seasons in the stock market that coincide with the election, presidential, economic, and business cycles.
Instead of fearing the market and being immobilized by volatility, I learned to change my mindset and understand that, like tides and waves, the market has times to profit and times to restrain.
As soon as I understood that and could see it play out in a stock chart day after day, month after month, season after season, I got in sync with the market and experienced the magic of compounding profits to earn time freedom.
But it was not as simple as just watching the market more!
Did you do it by yourself?
When you tried to drive by yourself... were you smooth and comfortable?
For me, it was anything but calm.
I remember being like a cranky toddler..... determined to figure it out.
I was determined not to be denied the freedom of going beyond my paper route - finally!
It might have been simple for some.. but for me ... there was a BIG obstacle.
See.... my family had a GMC Custom Van as our only vehicle. It was my Dad's baby... that was HUUUUUUUGGGGEEEE. (at least back then it seemed like it.)
We went everywhere in that thing.
( I won't say the model year to protect the aged! )
It was awesome.. but damn, was it BIG, and for my 15-year-old self, I had no business handling a piece of machinery that big!
The point of the back story is.... I needed a mentor to show me how to drive it.
How to see around corners in it.
How to feather the gas and the brake to make it go smoothly so I could get where I needed to go.
AND..... I needed to practice!
Thank GOD for my DAD!
He was patient but firm and helped me get "the knack" and expertise to build the proper skills to go where I needed to go safely! ( and not crash our only mode of transportation)
I still hear his voice today when I drive!
BTW - I passed on the first try and even aced the parallel parking in that behemoth.
The lesson of the story is that without someone to teach you the proper thought process and shared experiences to help you learn a new skill, you will struggle to be successful, and it will take much longer to learn all the mistakes yourself to become proficient.
You may even crash your only mode of transportation!
