The Fed.
Every tick, trick, trap, and trend was about positioning ahead of next week’s anticipated rate cut. Traders want confirmation. The Fed wants proof. Inflation wants to stay sticky. And bond markets want therapy.

They’re buying WBD’s film studio + HBO Max for $82B EV.

Hollywood is screaming.

Paramount is crying.

Comcast is clutching pearls.

This is the biggest streaming land-grab since… ever.

+19% — Rubrik (RBRK)
Beat earnings. Beat revenue. Beat expectations.
Basically beat everyone up.

+13% — Cooper Companies (COO)
Medical devices? More like miracle devices.
Strong earnings + bullish guidance = boom.

+11% — Victoria’s Secret (VSCO)
Turns out the secret is… actually selling things.
Big revenue beat + upbeat holiday forecast.

+6% — Ulta Beauty (ULTA)
Beauty is a recession-proof addiction.
Upgraded guidance + earnings pop.

-1% — Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD)
Got bought. Lost autonomy. Lost shares.
Hollywood’s hostage.

-3% — Netflix (NFLX)
The buyer’s remorse is already pricing in.

-5% — Docusign (DOCU)
Crushed earnings… but gave timid guidance.
Investors said, “Cute. Not enough.”

-7% — SoFi (SOFI)
Announced a $1.5B public offering.
Dilution station, population: you.

-9% — SentinelOne (S)
Beat earnings.
Missed revenue expectations by a hair.
Market punished them like they stole lunch money.

Strengths:
Markets remain resilient despite mixed data. Tech is showing surprising leadership, and corporate earnings continue to outperform expectations heading into year-end seasonality. With Fed Drift buoying sentiment, buyers remain opportunistic.

Weaknesses:
Pre-market weakness shows how fragile conviction is heading into a major macro week. Labor signals are conflicting, inflation is sticky, and earnings guidance is tightening across consumer names. Liquidity pockets are thinner than usual.

Opportunities:
A clean PCE print + confirmed rate cut next week could ignite a December surge. High-quality tech, semis, and consumer leaders remain primed for rotation. Tactical traders can benefit from intraday volatility as the market interprets the data.

Threats:
A hot PCE print or cold sentiment reading could slap the market into a pullback. Rate-cut optimism could unwind quickly. AI-driven job cuts remain a warning shot of broader economic slowdown risk heading into 2026.
